The Merrimac Dog Training Club (MDTC) was founded in 1947 as a non-profit volunteer organization geared toward community service. We still promote the original goals of creating a stronger bond of companionship between people and their dogs, of raising awareness of the responsibilities of dog ownership and of helping all to achieve that sense of pride that comes from a well-trained dog.

 

As the largest AKC licensed dog training clubs on the Virginia Peninsula and Hampton Roads, we offer classes obedience, agility, rally, conformation (dog show) handling, and barn hunt.  We are licensed to host all levels of AKC Agility, Obedience, Rally, Scent Work, Fast CAT as well as all levels of trials for the Barn Hunt Association.
