MDTC COVID Policy | Updated September 12th, 2023

Although MDTC is not currently mandating the wearing of masks, the Center for Decease Control and Prevention (CDC) still recommends individual to wear a mask when in close contact with other people, and to continue the safe practices of hand washing and wiping down objects that you have touched or will touch. MDTC’s COVID-19 policy will be updated based on Federal and State mandates. Students are encouraged to follow best practice for COVID-19 prevention as published by the CDC and the Virginia. Student be prepared to wear a mask if MDTC determines that it is in the best interest of instructors, class participants and trial participants to wear a mask. Vaccinated and unvaccinated people can contract this variant and spread it to others. Classes/activities that do require masks will be announce in advance either online, through class descriptions, and or events.

Should a person attending MDTC classes or events come down with COVID-19, MDTC will require a 10- day quarantine from the onset of COVID-19 symptoms or from a positive test if asymptomatic. This applies to vaccinated and unvaccinated people, due to the multiple variants being highly contagious. If you have any signs of any illness or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, you must not come to the club until your quarantine is over.

If you have been at the Club and come down with COVID-19, please contact your instructor or Ginger Wade (757-404-2610). Ultimately, you are responsible for taking appropriate measures to safeguard yourself and the others around you, and you may not hold MDTC responsible or liable if you contract COVID-19 or any other illness
