Community Outreach Activities:

Our Merrimac Dog Training Club members love dogs and consequently are involved in many activities throughout the Hampton Roads region.

These activities include Workshops,  World of Pets Expo, Mutt Strut, Paws for a Cause, Hampton Holiday Parade, health clinics and more.

Abstract

Beth Ann has trained obedience since 2006, and K9 Nose Work since 2011. She is a Certified Nose Work Instructor through NACSW, CPDT-KA, & AKC CGC Evaluator. She holds degrees in biology and liberal studies, and lives on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.

Hey! Something smells like birch... You’ve had great success searching for primary rewards – so, let’s take the next step in your dog’s nose work career with this introduction to odor! This workshop will prepare your dog to start working birch, and get you on the path to AKC, NACSW and/or UKC trial scenarios. Your dog must have attended Intro to K9 Nose Work and be motivated when searching for primary rewards,

or by permission of the instructor
